Each centimetre of both paintings was precisely scanned to realistically represent texture of the paint. However, pencil and ink sections are re-drawn by hand.

This artwork was inspired by modern types of waxing suitable for removing unwanted hair and personal stories shared between young women about their tender routines.
Turquoise acrylic paint is a metaphor for organic shape of a female body, while pencil and ink depicts human sensory nervous system.

Cumulus oophorus refers to a cluster of cells (called cumulus cells) that surround the oocyte both in the ovarian follicle and after ovulation.
This painting is the continuation of the Sugaring and Waxing theme. It is an ongoing exploration of women's participation in the mundane rituals.
